Tuition Assistance Overview
Once a student application is submitted, we welcome all interested families to apply for tuition assistance! We determine the eligibility and amount of financial aid through our third party platform called FACTS. You’ll need to share information including, but not limited to, Federal Income Tax Returns, W-2s, and supporting documents about your family and financial background.
Visit this link
https://online.factsmgt.com/grant-aid/inst/45LQJ/landing-page, and you will be prompted to sign up for a FACTS account.
Once you’ve created an account, you’ll get to see the following
- Requirements to be submitted
- Important deadlines
- Built-in forms to submit information and documents
The detailed steps
for completing the tuition assistance application under FACTS can be found within the platform, which you can access once your account is created.

Payment Plans
Aside from tuition assistance, Hill Country also offers plans that can help make tuition payments more manageable for families. Take a look below at our three options:
Payment Plans | Schedule of Payments |
Annual | A one-time payment due in May |
Semi-annual | One payment in May for the first semester, and a second payment in November for the second semester |
Monthly | Twelve monthly payments beginning in May, and ending in April |
What is the maximum tuition assistance package I could receive?
For kindergarten, we can cover up to 25% of the overall cost of tuition. For Grades 1-12, we can cover up to 50% of the overall cost of tuition.
How does the needs-based tuition assistance translate into what we could expect granted to our family?
Here’s a visual example of what to expect in FACTS applications:
Let’s say the tuition of a school is $16,000 per year. If the application shows FACTS you can afford about $10,000 per year, your family’s financial need would be $6,000/year. If the school is able to offer tuition assistance, the maximum amount the family would qualify to receive is $3,000 per year (50% of need, or 25% for Kinder).
Does Hill Country decide how tuition assistance is awarded?
No, we use a non-biased third-party platform, as previously mentioned, called FACTS, and they provide Hill Country with the best recommendation of what each family’s assistance should be.
Is the financial assistance based on how many families apply each year?
No, it’s based on each individual family’s needs. However, there is an annual cap on the total amount available for financial aid. Available funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Is the tuition assistance based on our family’s income?
The tuition assistance package is based on your family’s income, expenses, investments, and debt.
Why does the application ask so many personal questions?
FACTS is not only evaluating needs based on income but also including hard costs, debt, investments and discretionary expenses. We encourage you to include this information for FACTS to get a clear picture of your family’s financial standing and need for tuition assistance.
